Switzerland local time on May 9, 2023 Geneva International Invention Exhibition line, online review results announced. Students Peng Yihao, Wang Ruihua, Zhang Xuancheng and Chen Changhua from School of Software mainly completed the project "Active Defense and accurate attack Tracing System for high-level Security Incidents based on Behavioral flow Modeling", which won the "Jury Special Award Gold Medal".

High level security event active defense and attack accurate tracing system based on behavior flow modeling

The project is under the guidance of Associate Professor Zhao Xibin and Associate Researcher Wan Hai of the School of Software and China Bond Jinke Information Technology Co., LTD. This project designs and develops a set of interface level accurate traceability system for network applications. The system uses automata technology to model the request behavior flow and solves the difficulty of data acquisition on the attacker side. At the same time, an accurate traceability method based on audit log partitioning technology is proposed to solve the problem of matching requests with logs in high concurrency scenarios. The system has wide applicability and has been adapted to various network application development frameworks of multithreading, process and coroutine. This project can quickly detect attacks and locate attack entry points, thereby helping security personnel and operations personnel to quickly fix security vulnerabilities. This reduces the security cost of enterprises and avoids the huge loss caused by service offline maintenance.
